“Great designers can tear holes into the normalcy that surrounds us and present us with unique and engaging experiences that inspire us, that excite us, and that, ultimately, wow us, and, in my own personal time with Chad Oppenheim and his team at Oppenheim Architecture + Design, they have shown me that they are masters at tearing up normalcy and harnessing the power of wow to make our world a far more interesting place to live in.”

“I’d like to thank everyone here at the Cooper Hewitt. It’s a tremendous honor to be part of such an incredible institute, as well as other award winners for this year. . . . Thank you very much to the jury for recognizing our work. . . . Architecture and design is a team sport and really I’m accepting the award for the forty people that we have in the United States and in Europe who really make all these dreams come true.”
