Jacobus Bruyning holds Masters of Architecture and Bachelors of Design degrees from the University of Florida. Within the United States, Bruyning has worked on more than 25 projects in Florida, New York, California, Washington DC, Georgia and Illinois. He has also worked on more than 15 projects in Costa Rica, Australia, the Philippines, Switzerland, Jordan, Turkey, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates – both Dubai and Abu Dhabi – as well as Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.

    Bruyning’s expertise in various project types includes mixed-use, hotels and resorts, multi-family residential, custom homes and resort villas, corporate offices, restaurants, school media centers and a new bridge planned for Miami Beach. His project experience includes the 1,600,000 SF (145,000m2) Net Metropolis commercial office complex in Manila, Philippines; the 100,000 SF (9,300m2) Vakko Corporate Headquarters in Istanbul, Turkey; Nokia Latin American Regional Offices in Miami; the 600,000 SF (56,000m2) 50-story Ten Museum Park tower built on downtown Miami’s waterfront; the 1,500,000 SF (140,000m2) Wharf Road Mixed-Use Development on Australia’s Gold Coast; 90,000 SF (8,360m2) Hotel and Residential Tower in Brooklyn, New York; Sonesta Resort Condo Hotel with 350 keys and 37 residential units on the beachfront in Key Biscayne, Florida; Bricks Master Plan for Allschwil, Switzerland; and an upcoming 650-acre (265-hectare) 5-star destination resort and spa in Qatar
