Ana Calderon, International Associate AIA, is a designer that holds a Bachelors in Architecture from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM). She graduated with an Excellence Award for her dissertation project. During her studies she was invited to collaborate in the highly selective program “Renovation for Touristic Corridor Reforma Avenue – Downtown,” which transformed and gave the current aesthetic and functional features to Paseo de la Reforma, one of the most iconic avenues in Mexico City, and which is known as the City’s ‘Primer Cuadro’ in the heart of the downtown area.

Ana was selected by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID) and Fundacion Carolina for her furniture collection ANGULO 45 to participate in the Master’s Exchange Program Design and Innovation in Barcelona. Alongside a highly competitive group of architects and designers Ana was granted with a full scholarship to join the prestigious design studio NANIMARQUINA.

Ana is a licensed architect in Mexico with independent work built in that country. Throughout her professional career, Ana has been involved in several projects of diverse complexity and character, for both public and private clients, as a team member as well as for her own practice assignments. These projects include custom-made residences; high-rise apartment buildings; office buildings and sport facilities. One of her main goals as an architect and designer is the proper understanding of the site and community for which the project is carried out.
